Redcliffe Estate

Redcliffe housing estate is located in the south-east of Bristol’s city centre. It consists of a number of council-managed tower blocks in a modernist-style development designed by Albert H. Clarke which opened in 1960.

On the corner of Redcliff Hill and Commercial Road, Waring House, Francombe House and Underdown House are built in a u-shape formation around an inner shared courtyard.

The estate’s tower blocks and nearby underpass have proven popular for shoots requiring urban locations including Rain Dogs, The Outlaws, Hellboy and Doctor Who: Night Terrors.
